The Beneteau 423 is widely considered one of the most successful mid-sized cruising sailboats ever built. Designed by Groupe Finot, it is celebrated for balancing a spacious, high-volume interior with surprisingly nimble sailing performance. The boat is known for a light, responsive helm and impressive acceleration. It handles well in light winds but is stiff enough to stand up in a breeze due to its bulb keel. Built to CE Offshore A standards, the solid fiberglass hull utilizes Beneteau's "grid system" for stiffness. While the flat forefoot may cause slight pounding in heavy chop, it contributes to stability and speed. Most model features all lines led aft to the cockpit with in-mast furled mainsail, making it an excellent choice for solo or couple cruising.
