Marine Professionals Networking with a Purpose

April 17, 2026

There’s something so powerful about being able to say, “I’ve got a guy” when someone is searching for help and equally powerful knowing someone is speaking in your favor elsewhere. That’s the true value of networking and building trusted connections. If you are in the marine or waterfront industries and haven’t joined the Marine Power Network yet our reach is growing! No matter where our clients live, travel, or vacation our goal is to be able to say, “I’ve got a guy.”

We have been meeting at the beautiful St. Petersburg Yacht Club in downtown on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 4:30-5:30+ if you are interested in attending or would like to be included on our email list please reach out! (Sometimes we have to switch locations.)

All though many of us operate in different states, our customers and clients often adventure beyond home. They live, travel, cruise, and keep second homes across state lines-and they rely on trusted marine and waterfront professionals wherever they go and often ask the pros from home base if they have contacts where they are going. Networking beyond our local markets strengthens referrals, improves service, and ensures our clients are taken care of no matter where the water leads them. In this industry, strong relationships shouldn’t stop at the county or state borders.

Another great meet up of Marine Professionals Networking!

On deck this month:

We’re a group of dedicated marine and waterfront professionals who show up with purpose– to build meaningful connections, grow our businesses, and ensure we always have trusted partners we can rely on to take care of our clients. Sometimes we have guests that are outside our marine sector that show up to network and support us. We appreciate them too and all we ask is they bring another marine professional with them.

No matter what state or region you operate out of we want to connect with you too! If you work in or around the marine or a waterfront industry we want you to come join us next month! Check out our growing group on Facebook – Marine Power Network. The Nautical Sector Podcast

In other news, I just launched The Nautical Sector Podcast, your port of call for conversations with the marine and waterfront professionals who keep our industry moving and I am looking for people who want to collaborate. Each episode will dive beneath the surface of the boating world and everything the water touches-spotlighting brokers, dealers, suppliers, salesman, captains, service, creators, boat and yacht manufacturers, marine contractors, divers, innovators, racing teams, and more as they share practical insights, real-world experiences, and the stories that make this community so uniquely entertaining. Whether you work on the water, around it, or simply love the lifestyle, this podcast brings you closer to the people shaping today’s nautical sector. I am looking for guests who would like to be on the show!

In other BIG news! Grander Marine has landed in St. Pete.

Grander Marine based out of Orange Beach, AL with four locations across the Northern Gulf has opened up a location in St. Pete! 9293 Bay Pines Blvd. St. Petersburg, FL 33708. They have a large selection of Boat Brands they represent and will be bringing many to the area. I Tim Fredericksen, Founder of Odysseys Marine & Yachts am proud to represent Grander Marine. I will continue operating as a yacht broker, with my website and social medias remaining unchanged. At the same time, I’m excited to expand my services through an affiliation with Grander Marine as a sales advisor, now offering new boat sales alongside my brokerage offerings. This allows me to better serve clients across both the pre-owned and new boat markets while maintaining the same personalized approach and trusted relationships.

As always if you know anyone looking to buy or sell a vessel, I’m here to help with a shoot you straight attitude and a marketing first approach to my sellers.
